There’s nothing quite like a late steak dinner at Marvin. It’s a guarantee I won’t sleep tonight, which is actually a good thing, because it means I’ll have time to clean up all the raw ground turkey and cheese rinds the dog got into while we were out. Oh well. At least he’ll be awake and suffering with me.
I don’t actually have a problem with the kitchen, probably because I don’t spend a whole lot of time in there. Sure, every now and then I dart in to grab a container of hummus and a big bag of carrots, but I keep all the real food, aka the candy, hidden in different areas of the house. Those places are mighty creative but I can’t disclose them here – the Boo is known to read this blog from time to time, and if he gets so much as a hint he’ll start hunting.
Speaking of sugar, I got my ass handed to me this morning at boot camp. That may have something to do with the fact that I ate half a bag of jelly beans at 6 am while waiting for the metro. It may also have to do with the fact that I drank less than a liter of water yesterday, but I managed to drink about ten liters of savvy b.
But it’s Moving Week, and I’m loathing the Boo’s imminent departure to Sodom Redux, aka The Forty Dude Bachelor Party in Vegas, and sometimes, honestly, exercise and all other mandatory self-maintenence just depresses me because you can’t ever stop once you start. Turn your back on crunches or highlights or bikini waxes and the next thing you know you’re Neve Campbell in Wild Things with a stomach like a waterbed.
Anywho that just got me all depressed because I’m way overdue for Botox but I’m too poor to pay for it right now. Same goes for highlights, and don’t you dare look at my toenails. Poverty isn’t too becoming on me. If don’t get my fiscal house in order pronto I’m gonna be looking like the dregs of a Mumbai gutter before long.
Now I’m off to clean up the dog’s attempt at sandwich making. Hoping I pass out sometime before 3 am so I can wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed to torture myself at sculpting class.
Happy almost Hump Day friends!
